Each year ornaments are placed on the tree that indicate the ‘wish list’ of shelters and organizations in the Philadelphia area. You are welcome to take an ornament and
purchase the gift noted on the tag.

Here are some of the places we will be helping this year:
Our Brother’s Place is located at 907 Hamilton St. and is an emergency shelter for 149 men and also offers supportive services for an additional 50 men daily. Individuals experiencing homelessness receive warm meals and social services takingthe first step in accessing housing in the community.
Birthright is an outreach center for women during crisis pregnancies and the critical months after the birth of their baby.They help women discover hope for the future through friendship, love and support. They also provide essentials such aspregnancy testing, medical, housing and counseling referrals aswell as maternity and baby items. Their free and confidential helpline is available 24/7. They are located right here in FoxChase.
Mercy Hospice is a community grounded in faith and servicewhere single women and mothers with children experiencing homelessness and in recovery can find opportunities for new beginnings. The facility is a 31 bed residence for single women and mothers with young children who are in recovery. With the goal of continued recovery and transition to more independent living, the women meet weekly with case managers.
St. Francis Inn is a Franciscan community who minister the poor and homeless in Philadelphia. They meet the immediate daily needs of the people they serve with food, clothing, andhospitality. They empower persons to break the cycle ofhomelessness and poverty and address structural injustices.They build relationships with those they serve by respecting theirlives lives human dignity and helping them to restore hope in their lives.
